【NEWS】メタルコアバンドNorthlaneのギタリストがNewアルバム「Mesmer」収録曲 “Paragon” は、昨年亡くなったArchitectsのギタリストTom Searleに捧げた曲だと語る

3/24に4枚目となるNewアルバム「Mesmer」をサプライズ・リリースしたオーストラリア出身メタルコアバンドNorthlaneのギタリストJon Deileyが、収録曲 “Paragon” は昨年亡くなったArchitectsのギタリストTom Searleに捧げた曲だとTwitterで語りました。

ArchitectsのギタリストTom Searleは3年以上にわたり癌との闘病を続け、昨年8月に28歳という若さで亡くなっています。

「Tom Sealeが亡くなった1週間後にJon Deiley(Northlaneのリードギタリスト)から電話がかかってきて、彼に捧げる曲を書かなければいけないという話をされたんだ。僕もそれをやりたいと思ったよ。」

またDeileyもこの曲が自分にとって特別な曲だと語っています。

「“Paragon” は僕にとって本当に特別な曲で、こんなに荒いボーカル・フレーズとメロディーの曲は唯一この曲だけなんだ。この曲は完璧でなきゃいけなかったからね。」

Paragon for me is super special, it was one of the only songs I had a heavy hand in the vocal phrasing and melodies. It had to be perfect.
