Paramoreが最新アルバ「After Laughter」収録曲 “Rose-Colored Boy” で何を伝えたかったのかをTwitterで語りました。

「“Rose-Colored Boy” は実際に自分が世界に、そしてその世界にいる自分に対してものすごく絶望している時に、極端な楽観主義で世界を見るように圧力をかけられている気持ちを歌っているの。“幸せ” でないと恥ずかしいと感じさせる社会的圧力がたくさんある。」

「悲しみに恥ずかしさが加わることは、ものすごく有毒な組み合わせなの。社会的な期待なしに悲しみ、うつ、あらゆるタイプの不安に他処するのは難しいこと。すべてをバラ色にしようとするよりも ‘心のこもった’ 人たちに会いに行くことが重要なの。」
